John's ability to cook is more out of necessity than talent, but Dean has definitely gotten the cooking gene. The thought is definitely there. He wants to take care of Mary. He didn't manage it the first time she was alive, but he's trying to make sure he expresses his love and concern for her.
Because they only got seven years together, they're less like an old married couple than one might imagine. He often finds himself staring at her as well.
John nods at that. "Good idea. Dean had mentioned that he and Sam went camping for a few days at least once. I know he's gone on fishing trips alone as well."
"It's a date then," John smiles crookedly at her. "I'll check it out and the next time there's something I think we'd like, we'll go."
