For what it is worth, she did appreciate his willingness to take care of their family so she could stay home with the children. She still appreciates all his sweet gestures. He may be twenty years older than she remembers but her feelings for him could never waver for something out of their control such as age. Though it wouldn't be so bad thing if he got a respectable complex as that try-hard, earnest part of John Winchester is dear to her heart.

Seems they're pretty parked there right now.

His listening skills warm the smile she has for him. "Don't let them tell you no," she jokes. She knows it's not very likely that the boys would pass up the opportunity because the're all family. If their family has anything, it's that they all love each other.

She catches his stare and locks hers with his. The trouble isn't that she sees how much he loves her, the trouble with it is that he makes it hard to remember she can do anything else. Her attention snaps back once he presents the bacon, which makes her smile widen. "Extra crispy," she acknowledges the way he made it, knowing full well he remembered how she liked it most and looking pretty tickled by it. There's a kiss reserved for him later when the counter isn't between them and setting isn't so public.

She looks to the coffee cup lingering above her plate and nods. "Always more coffee."
