He wouldn't have wanted it any other way. His mother had been a single parent after his father had died. He'd wanted the boys to have their mother with them as much as possible. Maybe he can get in touch with that part of himself without getting a complex.

His listening skills aren't always top-notch. Just ask the boys (Sam in particular). "I'll just tell them 'Mom said you have to go'," he jokes a little. The boys would listen too because 'mom said' is still a novelty to them.
