It's highly possible Ruby will share her suspicions later. Renewing the wards will give Ruby a sense of safety. It also helps that Sam validates her slight paranoia.
Even now, Dean wouldn't say he understands Sam's choices, but he does understand that this is good for Sam and that Sam is happy. That's all Dean has ever really cared about. She'd had so many doubts during these months about whether Sam was sure about his decisions. His life would be easier if he'd just agreed to live in separate spaces. For his part, it does John good to hear that Sam is certain, that this is a lot as well. He nods. "Okay. We'll figure out how to make it work."
